For the sake of protecting my job, I’ll just say my name is JenRose (although if you know my real name you know that’s not very secretive at all). I’m a 24 year old General Manager of a movie theater. I love almost every minute of it. I advise everyone to think long and hard before they yell at a theater employee about concession prices. Trust me when I say we would change it if we had the power to. I also hate that theaters are starting to convert to all digital projection. I’m going to miss film. Damn technological advancements.

I love being random, and so I have a blog.

I love movies. My family raised me on the Disney classics, so they hold a special place in my heart. My favorites of today include the following: The Lion King, Shaun of the Dead, The Prestige, the Austin Powers series, the Harry Potter series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Death at a Funeral, Liar Liar, Inception, the Ace Ventura series, Anchorman, Garden State, The 40 Year Old Virgin, While You Were Sleeping, The Dark Knight, and The Shawshank Redemption.

I’m not too fond of horror movies. I’ll watch them sometimes, but I’m a baby about it. I enjoy really good horror films, but the best ones are usually the ones that screw with my head the most.  I love 28 Days Later and The Ring. I’m fairly certain that the original Amityville Horror and The Strangers have collaboratively ruined my life.

I love to read. I’ll pretty much read anything. Some of my favorite books are The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, In Dubious Battle by John Steinbeck, Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, and the Harry Potter novels.

The best TV shows on the face of the planet are Friends, Family Guy, 24, and Conan O’Brien. There are other good ones, but who cares.

Other hobbies of mine include: listening to music, passing up sweets for fruit, playing racquetball, hiking, biking, seeing plays, watching/listening to stand up comedy, bowling, having a beer after work, trying to make myself sound more intelligent than I am, dropping it like it is hot, spitting booty-chatter, writing fiction, and getting to know people.

I love to write fiction. I will post my stuff on here whenever I can.
