My name is Jennifer. I’m a 23 year old student at the University of Tennessee majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Journalism and Electronic Media. I work as a full time projectionist at a movie theater and I love almost every minute of it. I hate that theaters are starting to convert to all digital projection. Soon I will be out of a job and I will miss film terribly. Damn technological advancements.

I love being random, and so I have a blog.

I love movies. I used to watch 101 Dalmatians, The Lion King, and Aladdin all the time when I was a kid. As I grew a little older, I became attached to Hocus Pocus, Angels in the Outfield, and Sister Act. Now, my favorites of today include the previously mentioned and the following: Shaun of the Dead, The Prestige, the Austin Powers series, the Harry Potter series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Death at a Funeral, Liar Liar, the Ace Ventura series, Anchorman, Garden State, The 40 Year Old Virgin, While You Were Sleeping, The Dark Knight, and P.S. I Love You. I’m not too keen on horror movies. I’ll watch them sometimes, but I’m a baby about it. I’ll sleep with the light on for a while after watching a really good one. I do enjoy 28 Days Later and The Ring. I’m fairly certain that the original Amityville Horror and The Strangers have collaboratively ruined my life.

I love to read. I grew up reading Goosebumps, the Berenstein Bears, Full House novels, and Harry Potter. I’m obsessed with Harry Potter. I also love the occasional Steven King and Dean Koontz novel. David Sedaris is hilarious. Joshilyn Jackson is one of my new favorites. Ever heard of John Bellairs? You should check him out. I loved reading his stories when I was young. Heck, I still love reading them! They were worth a lot of points in the Accelerated Reader program. That’s what got me started on his books and Harry Potter.

The best TV shows on the face of the planet are Friends, Family Guy, and 24. There are other good ones, but who cares.

Other hobbies of mine include: listening to music, passing up sweets for fruit, playing racquetball, hiking, biking, seeing plays, watching/listening to stand up comedy, bowling, having a beer after work, trying to make myself sound more intelligent than I am, dropping it like it is hot, spitting booty-chatter, writing fiction, and getting to know people.

I love to write fiction. I will post my stuff on here whenever I can.
